Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is an important position in home health care, and we are currently seeking a qualified individual to join the Lucent Health team. Someone who has experience, knowledge, and leadership skills, who is dedicated and passionate about their career and the communities we serve, and who is looking for growth and advancement.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform assessment procedures to determine patient treatment needs.
  • Make recommendations for respiratory care and treatment.
  • Administer treatment procedures based on patients' needs.
  • Educate patients, family members, and care givers on respiratory treatment.
  • Observe and report to the physician and nurse supervisor the patient's response to Respiratory therapy and any related changes in the patient's condition and modify the treatment based on patient progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Maintain and submit written clinical and agency records, as deemed necessary.
  • Perform additional duties assigned in response to patient and/or Agency needs.


JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Must have a driver's license and be willing, and able, to drive to patients' residences.
  • The ability to access patients' homes, which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible, is required. Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform and demonstrate patient care.
  • Physical activities will include, walking, sitting, stooping, and standing and minimal to maximum lifting of patients and the turning of patients.
  • The ability to communicate, both, verbally, and in writing as frequent communication, by telephone in English, is required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an associate degree in respiratory care from an accredited program.
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT in the state of Florida.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Must have a criminal background check.
  • Must have a current CPR certification.
